Faulty Xbox 360

Tuesday 17 July 2007 @ 9:15 pm

Online reports are stating that the Xbox 360 is being pulled from the shelves in Australia by leading retailer EB Games.  Stores across Australia are being asked to return all the Xbox 360 consoles presently in stock - amid continuing issues related to the console’s reliability. Indeed, many EB Games outlets presently list the console as ’sold out’. Some have blamed the extreme heat conditions while others are just blaming a faulty product.

Microsoft recently announced a universal extension of the warranty covering the console to three years, in the face of mounting complaints about broken systems and unhelpful customer service. The new warranty even covers the very first consoles releases up until November 2008 - with Microsoft putting aside 1 billion USD to cover the cost of ‘doing the right thing’ by their customers.

Nokia888

Could it be that in a few years time we shall be wearing our mobile phones as a fashion accessory or even around our wrists? The answer will be yes if Nokia and the 888 concept phone materializes. This phone offers a malleable interface that can be bent, twisted and wrapped into different shapes just like a wristband. Since the success of the Iphone manufacturers have been working flat out trying to find the next must have mobile phone.

Laptop Skins

Laptop Skin

How cool are these, laptop skins, not only do they personalise your computer, they protect it to. I plucked this one out at random but a quick search will throw up dozens of outlets selling these from as little as $19.99. Some of the companies I found even allow you to personalise them with your own image or logo, one seller on eBay even had a rather rude one of a very pretty blonde in her panties.

If you want to give your laptop a new look in seconds look for laptop skins that are printed on high resolution full-color premium grade vinyl. Most of the suppliers I checked out all claimed to use repositionable & removable adhesive backing for fast, easy and accurate installation and goo-free removal.

Japanese Doll

Saturday 7 July 2007 @ 9:16 am

There is something just so wrong about this doll from Japan. It cost 600,000 yen which using a currency converter equates to £2,420.00 or $4,684.00 (United States). I don’t know if it is because; it has an innocent helpless expression, it looks like it was modeled on a young teenager, it is just a little too life like or a combination of all these reasons. At the end of the day it is just a piece of latex so why has it got me feeling sorry for it. I feel like launching a save the latex doll action group.
