Paris Hilton Sent To Jail Picture

Saturday 9 June 2007 @ 11:14 am

A sobbing Paris Hilton was sent back to jail today. The 26-year-old screamed for her mother at the end of a one hour hearing which ruled she must now complete her full jail term after originally being let out after three days on medical grounds. Hilton sobbed the whole through the hearing in the Los Angeles court, before screaming, “It’s not right!” when she was told by Judge Sauer she would have to return to the Century Regional Detention Facility.

Paris-crying

There are a few that feel sorry for Paris, I have even seen an online petition for her fans to sign demanding that she be released and there are those that will feel justice has been done. There are two kinds of people with money, those that have earned it through hard work and those that have inherited. Unfortunately those that inherit money feel that money can buy you everything, it is not until it is taken away for a few days that they realise what a drug it has become.

Microsoft Surface

Friday 1 June 2007 @ 3:40 pm

What is Microsoft Surface? Microsoft Surface™, the first commercially available surface computer from Microsoft Corp., turns an ordinary tabletop into a vibrant, interactive surface. The product provides effortless interaction with digital content through natural gestures, touch and physical objects. Surface is a 30-inch display in a table-like form factor that’s easy for individuals or small groups to interact with in a way that feels familiar, just like in the real world. In essence, it’s a surface that comes to life for exploring, learning, sharing, creating, buying and much more. Soon to be available in restaurants, hotels, retail establishments and public entertainment venues, this experience will transform the way people shop, dine, entertain and live.

How does Surface work?
At a high level, Surface uses cameras to sense objects, hand gestures and touch. This user input is then processed and the result is displayed on the surface using rear projection.

What is surface computing?
Surface computing is a new way of working with computers that moves beyond the traditional mouse-and-keyboard experience. It is a natural user interface that allows people to interact with digital content the same way they have interacted with everyday items such as photos, paintbrushes and music their entire life: with their hands, with gestures and by putting real-world objects on the surface. Surface computing opens up a whole new category of products for users to interact with.

What are the key attributes of surface computing?
Surface computing has four key attributes:
• Direct interaction. Users can actually “grab” digital information with their hands and interact with content by touch and gesture, without the use of a mouse or keyboard.
• Multi-touch contact. Surface computing recognizes many points of contact simultaneously, not just from one finger, as with a typical touch screen, but up to dozens and dozens of items at once.
• Multi-user experience. The horizontal form factor makes it easy for several people to gather around surface computers together, providing a collaborative, face-to-face computing experience.
• Object recognition. Users can place physical objects on the surface to trigger different types of digital responses, including the transfer of digital content.
How does Surface benefit consumers?
Surface breaks down the traditional barriers between people and technology, providing effortless interaction with digital content. Similar to the way ATMs changed how people got money from the bank, Microsoft is changing the way people will interact with all kinds of everyday content, including photos, music, a virtual concierge and games. Common, everyday tasks become entertaining, enjoyable and engaging, alone or face-to-face with family, friends or co-workers.

Britney Spears Tribute Band

Saturday 26 May 2007 @ 12:13 pm

Britney Spears never seems to remain out of the tabloids, unfortunately for her most of the publicity is bad publicity although some would say all publicity is good publicity? I found this cruel but funny Britney Spear’s tribute singer, watch and enjoy.

Funny Plumber

Friday 25 May 2007 @ 11:27 am

I have used plumbers and tradesmen in the past and one thing they seem to lack is a sense of humor, does it come with the skill that they develop and that look that says “this is going to be expensive but I can do you a favor”… This guy certainly looks like one I would call if I had a problem..

Top 10 Inventions To Change The World

Thursday 24 May 2007 @ 5:08 pm

Speaking to several other people from all walks of life, I have compiled a top ten “I wish they would invent that list” and here it is. I have left off a few obvious choices like an end to world poverty, a cure for every illness and a tree that grows money as I was looking for things that I say the word loosely be invented.

1) Teleporter – Everyone wants to get where they’re going, faster, with less time in airplanes and security lines: Chances of it happening in the next 10 years 0/10

2) Weight Loss Pill – No more diets, pop a pill and watch your belly shrink can you imagine eating as much as you like and one tablet burns all those calories away: Chances of it happening in the next 10 years 7/10.

3) 100% Coverage Mobile Phone – No more bad reception areas, you are most likely to need your mobile phone when you are in a remote location, unfortunately it is also the most likely place for your phone not to work: Chances of it happening in next 10 years 9/10

4) Hair Growth Shampoo – We are talking real hair, not some spray hair in a can garbage, shampoo that really would make your hair start to grow again: Chances of it happening in the next 10 years 0/10.

5) Universal Charger – We travel the world and we need to take chargers for our ipods, laptops, mobile phones, digital camera and blackberrys, it would be so nice to take just the one charger: Chances of it happening in the next 10 years 9/10.

6) World-Wide Wi Fi – No more Internet connection problems, access the Internet from anywhere in the world for FREE: Chances of it happening in the next 10 years 3/10.

7) Fully Automated Cars – Select destination and hit go, no more getting stressed with other road users and no more traffic jams: Chances of it happening in the next 10 years 0/10.

8) Instant Translators – Talk from a telephone handset in England and your voice gets instantly translated to the country you are calling: Chances of it happening in the next 10 years 8/10.

9) House Robot  – A device that washes, cooks, irons and does the vacuuming around the home: Chances of it happening in the next 10 years 1/10.

10) Memory Implant – A chip that can be implanted into your brain allowing you to remember more information and think quicker: Chances of it happening in the next 10 years 1/10.

Feel free to add your own to the list and don’t forget to bookmark and come back in 10 years time!!
